Child Safety Standards

Theri.App is committed to providing a safe environment for all users. We do not tolerate any form of child sexual abuse or exploitation (CSAE) on our platform. This policy outlines our standards, preventive measures, and response procedures.
1. Our Position
Theri.App has a zero-tolerance policy towards any content or behavior involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Sexual harassment or grooming directed at minors
- Any content that sexualizes minors
- Solicitation of sexual material from minors
- Any attempt to contact minors for the purpose of exploitation
2. Age Requirements
Theri.App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We implement the following age verification measures:
- Registration verification: Age confirmation is required during the account creation process
- Age gate screen: An age verification gate is presented before accessing the application
- Account removal: Accounts identified as belonging to users under 13 are immediately deleted along with all associated data
3. Protection Measures
We implement multiple layers of protection to safeguard young users:
3.1 Message Request System
Direct messages from unknown users require recipient approval before a conversation can be established. This prevents unwanted contact and allows users to control who can communicate with them.
3.2 Visibility Controls
- Users can disable their visibility in search
- Users can disable their visibility on the map
- Profile privacy controls allow users to limit who can find them
3.3 Blocking System
Users can block any other user at any time. Blocked users cannot send messages, view the profile, or interact with the person who blocked them.
3.4 Reporting System
We provide accessible reporting tools to flag inappropriate content or behavior:
- Report individual users
- Report specific messages
- Report stories
- Report categories include: inappropriate content, spam, harassment, hate speech, and other
4. Content Moderation
- Admin panel: Our team has access to a dedicated administration panel to review reports, manage content, and take action against users who violate our standards
- Report review: All user reports are reviewed and appropriate action is taken
- File filtering: Only image and video file uploads are allowed, with a 10 MB size limit, to reduce the risk of malicious content
- Story expiration: Stories are automatically deleted after 7 days
5. Response Procedures
When we identify or receive a report of potential CSAE:
- Immediate action: The offending account is suspended or deleted immediately
- Content removal: All offending content is immediately removed from our servers
- Report to authorities: We report the incident to the relevant authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable
- Evidence preservation: We preserve relevant information as required by law for law enforcement investigations
- Notification: We fully cooperate with law enforcement and child protection agencies
6. Children's Data and Privacy
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13
- If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account, we immediately delete it along with all associated data
- We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable data protection laws

If you encounter any content or behavior involving the exploitation or abuse of minors on Theri.App, please take immediate action:

We are committed to responding to all reports related to child safety with the highest priority and urgency.
8. Updates to This Policy
We periodically review and update our child safety standards to ensure they meet current industry best practices and legal requirements. Changes will be posted on this page with the corresponding update date.
